Youth for COP – Edition 2
Youth for COP – Edition 2 invites passionate individuals aged 18–30 from across South Asia to dive deep into the world of climate negotiations and global action. Organized by The Climate Reality Project India & South Asia in partnership with IYCN and CANSA, this free program helps participants understand the UNFCCC and COP30 processes through interactive workshops and expert sessions.
Participants will gain public speaking, advocacy, and media skills, build networks with negotiators and youth leaders, and stand a chance to represent at LCOY or other international climate forums. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate from leading regional climate organizations.
Benefits
The program seeks to provide young participants with a deeper understanding of COP processes and deliberations. They will be trained to articulate their ideas, concerns, and solutions effectively, ensuring their voices are heard. Furthermore, they will learn how to navigate the complexities of the COP platform, preparing them to actively participate in future deliberations.
This pioneering initiative endeavours to cultivate leadership skills among youth participants encouraging them to ignite change through capacity building workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and networking opportunities.
