ICIMOD is inviting applications for the position of Climate Finance and Investment Analyst to support its work in mobilizing climate-resilient and green investments across the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region.

The role focuses on identifying and engaging international funders, climate and environment funds, financial institutions, and public- and private-sector partners to strengthen climate finance and investment initiatives in the region. It involves collaboration with key partners including UNDP, the World Bank, ADB, and the UK Met Office, and supports flagship initiatives such as the HKH Investment Working Group for Resilient Mountains (HIWG) and the HKH Innovation Challenge for Entrepreneurs.

Eligibility

• Master’s degree in finance, environmental economics, public administration, sustainable development, or a related field

• Minimum three years of relevant work experience

• Experience with or exposure to the climate finance landscape and global climate or environment funds

• Understanding of international funding mechanisms for climate, environment, and nature

• Knowledge of adaptation, resilience, and socio-economic investment needs in vulnerable regions such as the HKH

• Strong analytical, communication, and written skills in English

• Experience with donor-funded projects and knowledge of GESI issues are an advantage
