📌 Vacancy Announcement: Project Coordination Specialist (NPSA-10), UNDP Nepal

UNDP is seeking a Project Coordination Specialist to lead day-to-day implementation of a major GLOF risk reduction project, working closely with government partners to deliver results that protect lives, ecosystems, and infrastructure.

What you’ll do?

  • Lead and coordinate a Project Management Unit based in Kathmandu

  • Plan, manage, and monitor project activities, budgets, procurement, and reporting

  • Coordinate with government institutions, UN agencies, consultants, and partners

  • Support early warning systems, disaster risk reduction, capacity building, and safeguards

  • Ensure gender equality and social inclusion are fully integrated across project actions

    Eligibility & experience

  • Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant project management experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience

  • Strong background in project planning, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement

  • Experience in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, or donor-funded projects is an asset

  • Good command of English and Nepali required
