💡€2,500–€3,000 monthly stipend | 12–24 months research project in Germany

🎯Fellowship for those involved academically or practically in climate protection or climate-relevant resource conservation in a non- European developing or transition country (Nepal included).

The International Climate Protection Fellowship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation supports prospective leaders and postdoctoral researchers to conduct impactful research in Germany to bring that knowledge back home.

Duration

Prospective leaders- 12 months

Postdocs- 12-24 months

📍15 fellowships to prospective leaders and 5 to postdocs.

Who can apply?

Prospective Leaders

  • Completed your first university degree within the last 12 years

  • Have at least 24 months of relevant professional experience, or

  • Hold a Master’s degree plus 12 months of climate-related practical experience

Postdoctoral Researchers

  • Completed your first academic degree within the last 12 years

  • Hold (or will complete by 31 August) a PhD clearly related to climate protection

  • Doctorate awarded no more than 4 years ago

  • Have publications reviewed under international academic standards
