To celebrate the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP 2026), ICIMOD and FAO Nepal are launching a regional photo contest that highlights the rich cultural heritage, landscapes, and livelihoods of pastoral communities across the Hindu Kush Himalaya.

The contest aims to raise awareness about the value of pastoralism, the challenges faced by rangeland communities, and their vital role in biodiversity conservation and climate resilience.
