Youth For Climate Hacakathon 2.0

International

The Youth and Sustainability team at ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, South Asia, announces the launch of the ‘Youth for Climate Hackathon 2.0’. In its second year, the hackathon is aligned with the evolving priorities of COP31: focussing on implementation, resilience, energy transition, and inclusive climate action. The hackathon seeks to bridge bold ideas with on-ground action through ICLEI’s pathways for sustainable urban transitions.

Themed ‘ Action-Oriented Transition: Translating Resilient, Scalable, and Inclusive Solutions for Circular Cities,’ the hackathon begins on 22 May 2026 for young adults aged 18 to 30 years from countries where our partners are based (India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Thailand).

Under ICLEI South Asia’s pioneering leadership, the hackathon will be supported by knowledge platforms and networks. Regional partners in the youth and sustainability space will support dissemination, participation, and anchor webinars on climate between May and October 2026.
