Biodiversity Media Grants 2026
EJN has opened its Biodiversity Media Grants, 2026!
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is inviting applications for the Biodiversity Media Grants 2026, aimed at strengthening environmental journalism and increasing public awareness about biodiversity conservation. This opportunity supports media organizations and journalist networks that are working to produce impactful stories and reporting on biodiversity loss, conservation efforts, and nature-based solutions.
Through this program, EJN will award 3–4 grants ranging from €10,000 to €12,000 to support innovative media projects. Funded initiatives may include investigative reporting, multimedia storytelling, collaborative journalism projects, or capacity-building activities that improve biodiversity coverage.
The grants are open to media organizations, journalist networks, civil society organizations, and academic institutions based in low- and middle-income countries. Applicants should propose projects that promote accurate, engaging, and solutions-focused reporting on biodiversity and environmental challenges.
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals before the application deadline of 28 March 2026.
Selected projects will help strengthen public understanding and inspire action toward protecting biodiversity worldwide.
