The Waste Management and Climate Conference (WMCC) brought together nearly 1,000 delegates from 600 organizations across 33 districts and five countries.

The event focused on innovative solutions for transforming waste into resources and promoting a circular economy. Discussions addressed carbon emissions, plastic and air pollution, and climate change impacts on the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest. Presentations featured initiatives from GIZ and highlighted Nepal’s climate commitments under the Paris Agreement. The conference served as a national platform for government officials, diplomats, and industry experts to collaborate and advance policy dialogue on waste management and climate action.
