Toward Climate-Resilient Urban Mobility in Nepal: Mapping Risks and Uncovering Opportunites
On June 8, 2025, Green Decision Labs and Research, under the RAE Frontiers Champions Project (UK), partnered with SSTN, SEEN, RUPSON, SOTEN, and Nepal Environment Society hosted a national workshop focused on “Toward Climate-Resilient Urban Mobility in Nepal: Mapping Risks and Uncovering Opportunities.” The workshop was a part of the project “Designing Resilient Urban Mobility Systems for Climate Adaptation,” aimed at identifying risks and practical opportunities for cleaner, safer, and inclusive urban mobility systems.
Participants:
The workshop brought together planners, engineers, entrepreneurs, activists, policymakers, and experts from mobility, climate, and innovation sectors, divided into interdisciplinary teams to foster collaboration.
Benefits:
Participants engaged in panel discussions and interactive PESTEL and SWOT analyses, gaining insights into the challenges and opportunities in Nepal’s urban mobility landscape while strengthening cross-sector collaboration.
Outcomes:
The workshop identified key risks and opportunities for climate-resilient urban transport and built a shared vision for inclusive, low-carbon, and future-ready mobility solutions tailored to Nepal’s context.
